I checked out the dyson, but i dont want to spend 600.00 on a vacuum cleaner. So i was wondering if there as anything else out there.

You can’t beat a Hoover. And you can buy a good one for less than $100. I’ve had the same Hoover for about 17 years and it still sucks as good as the day I bought it. 2 cats and 1 dog and 0 pet hair problems.
