    This vacuum has tremendous suction for its size! I used my old dirt devil on the carpeted stairs and then went over them with the Fuller Brush power maid and was surprised at the amount of dirt it picked up. I have 2 cats. It works great for couch and chair cushions in getting up what those felines leave behind. I am very pleased with this purchase for its cleaning power and the ease of emptying the dirt canister.

    I love this vacuum….no, I LOVE this vacuum!!

    I purchased this hand vacuum to help me clean a narrow carpeted stairway. I already have a full-size operational heavy Kirby but dislike moving & resting it precariously on my stairs as I clean them with the hand attachments. It is a clumsy set-up at best.

    I unpacked & plugged into the AC outlet the little vacuum as soon as I received it. I did not, however, read the operating instructions (which I recommend that you do if you buy one….please read on). I was initially rather astonished at the strength of machine suction when I ran the vacuum across an area adjacent to my stairs. Then I used it on all 13 stairs. I also detached the small hose attachment and used it on the stair crevices.

    Okay, here are the results, and please understand they will differ with each person as I have five small dogs who, understandably drop fur as they travel the stairs to reach their doggie pet door to the outside. This machine was so powerful that just having used it on my stairs I overfilled the cup (The user is supposed to heed the “max” line in the removable dirt cup.) and small debris went past the MAX line and into and around the HEPA filter. Not a problem (and no damage done), though. I happily emptied the dirt cup and shook out the filter and then reassembled the unit for its next task….my car.

    Oh, another nice plus is that it has a 23 foot power cord. This is perfect for stairs use.

    The vacuum has a small attached brush on the end of the hose. The only thing which would be very helpful is having a crevice tool. But even this “omission” will not cause me to give the vacuum less than a 5 star rating.

    I LOVE IT and highly recommend it!!
