I live with 3 other girl roommates, and we all have very long, thick hair. We’re in dire need of a vacuum cleaner, but one that is particularly good at picking up hair. Any product suggestions or tips to what kinds of things we should look for in buying a new vacuum cleaner? Thanks!

you can use one that is good for pets, since those are specifically for picking up pet hair that should work, a really good one is a Dyson DC07 Animal, but depending on how much you want to spend, that can get a little pricey.
I don’t have a suggestion for the specific brand or anything, but I lived with 3 girls last year as well. Whatever vacuum you pick, vacuuming hair will be hard on it. Make sure you clean out the brush on the bottom frequently, as hair gets rolled around it and makes it not work as well. Also, getting hair up inside the hose attachments is bad and can cause clogs, so try to pick up any clumps of hair you see on the floor before using the hose.
