MILLIPEDES EVERYWHERE!!!?

Their are hundreds in our house, thousands on the walls of the outside of our house, and millions on the ground around our house. Ive never seen any thing like this before. Ive tried pesticides from home depot in the big gallon jugs with the spray nozzle, ive tried the cutter that attaches to the hose, and now weve resorted to just spending 3 hours a night vacuuming them up. Help us. any tips or advice would be the so important to us. please help.

  1. Eww. shudder.

    Sorry.

Try boric acid. You can get it at most home improvement or garden stores. An 8 ounce bottle is about $4. It is a powdery substance that has a low toxicity to humans but is lethal to anything with an exoskeleton (ie, ants, roaches, millipedes, etc.)

Dust a VERY fine layer of it inside and outside your home. The insects crawl through it, it irritates their ‘skin’ then they lick it off and die. Takes about 6 hours. They DO have to crawl through it though. Then you will spend hours vacuuming up dead ones.
