It is brand new and supposedly wet and dry vacuum. There is nothing in the manual about it spitting out dust from the vents. This happens when I try to vacuum dry. Any tips?! It is a black and decker hand vacuum that I bought for my car.

If you think it’s put together correctly bring it back and get another one.
Throw it away and go buy a more expensive one.
check and make sure the filter is in place and set snugly at the top.if it is loose bring it back.the filter should always be in place when dry vacuuming and removed when wet vacuuming
Make sure you put it together correctly….If you did and it still spits, take it back and exchange for another brand. It is probably a defect and another of the same brand could do the same thing.
