  1. @mglennx Absolutely! I’m happy to try and help you with Hoover WindTunnel 2 Repair Issue. I’ve uploaded a parts diagram of that model showing you how the parts attach I can’t put a link in this response, so I’ll have to email it to you through your YouTube account.

  2. I have a Windtunnel 2 (UH30065) and have replaced the Agitator/Brush Roll Housing (part #92001286). When I removed the “valve arm and agitator” from the old housing, it came off in 3 pieces. There are 2 plastic pieces and a spring that go together to make the part that connects to the cover. I can’t find a diagram for reassembling them so I can reattach them. A pic or clear diagram would be all I need to reassemble. Can you help? I love the belt video, but I could really use your help with this.

  3. @itradio first take out the brush. on the sides. unscrew the two ends. bearings are now viewable. carful there is a washer under the bearing. remove bearing. check the endcaps for wear and tear remove hair. if plastic is melted replace brush. if not go to the vac shop and ask for brush roll bearing for hoover. total cost, about 4.95 a set dont pay more than 6 bucks for a set. reinstall new bearings and screw back together. boom. your done.

  4. @tommymack55 just take out the 3 screws holding the handle on the top. then pull it back. there is the lever which moves up and down on the switch. easy fix just put some tape(not alot) and that lever and cover the rounded shape on the end. turn the switch to off position. reattach. screw in a viola. problem sovled. cost for repair 2 cents.

  5. @whcernan I have the same problem with loose new v-belts. I think you just have to replace the brush roller. I haven’t tried it yet, but every single other part of the system looks great. My brush roller looks great too but its the only thing I can think of. Shame, the brushes on it are fine. Note that there is a workaround – pull out enough screws to let the main plastic come loose that covers it all from the top. Then let the tensioner slip past its stop. It will put more tension on the v-belt

  6. @Ayplus Just use a regular hand screwdriver. The screws are very easy to remove and the drill isn’t necessary. They just used it in the video because they could.

  7. @GoVacuums : At 1:17, note the white “gasket” wrapped around the left side of the brush roller. I am servicing exactly the same unit, V-belt is horribly loose, OLD OR NEW, and it’s because whatever that gasket is doesn’t exist on my system. I go to parts sites and they don’t list that part at all. What is it and how do I get one?

  8. Hey guys! I replaced both belts, and I still have a loose brushroll. I disassembled everything and nothing looks broken. The only way I could get the brushroll working properly was if I re-assembled it so that the brush tensioner wasn’t resting on the stop that lets you disengage it. Well now the tensioner has much more travel and it pushes against the V-belt, so I can vacuum my carpets just fine, but I can’t disable the brushroll with the switch anymore. Also the brushroll look fine. Ideas?

  9. Darn, I read the directions and tried to put the new flat belt on. Not enough strength to get it on. Found and watched this vid. Fantastic! Tried rolling it on. Still not enough strength but then I’m in my late 70’s and a female. I JUST CAN’T DO IT!

  10. The Hoover cord jams half way and I do not want to disassemble the entire thing to fix it. Is there an external adjustment for this?

  11. Woohoo! I had a spare power drive belt, replace the stretched out old one and – IT MOVES! Thank you, GoVacuum!

  12. Thanks for the video…

My Windtunnel’s belts are fine, but it has been giving a burning smell recently and smoking. I checked again, rewatched your video and saw you spin the brushroll. Our brushroll still has long brushes, but spins only if you force it.

I’m waiting for the brush to come in at the vacuum store. Once that’s fixed, the next project is getting the on/off switch to work again (i need to look at the link you commented on previously)

  13. Thank you !! Didn’t know anything about my hoover – the belt had broken but had no clue about it and was about to bring to shop before seeing this – bought a $5 belt and it works great again. Appreciate it.

  14. @batman6777 Thanks Batman! lol. I know it’s the motor shaft, but I assumed the average Joe would better understand Metal Pin, then Motor Shaft. Thanks for watching!
