    Excellent wet dry vac…, November 22, 2010

I’ve had this vac for almost 6 months now and I love it. I must say I’ve grown to love it more now than I have when i first bought it. I originally bought it to clean up saw dust from when I had my wood floor installed. I originally used a household upright vac which worked but got clogged from the saw dust and wood pieces. This wet dry vac got the job done. I then used it to clean lint and dust around my washer and dryer in the laundry room and it worked well there too. I also cleaned up saw dust in the garage when having molding and doors replaced around the house so it worked for that too. But the one usage of this I am SO happy about is cleaning leaves from my driveway and front lawn. I first tried blowing the leaves into a pile with it but it was hard for me to control the leaves without getting some on my neighbors lawn. I then just vacuumed the leaves into the wet dry vac and emptied the full drum into a plastic bag and disposed of them that way. That’s when I thought, I should have bought one of these years ago!

The best vacuum ever, October 5, 2011

My dad has this same vacuum, it’s 20 years old and hasn’t skipped a beat, so I went out and bought a new one for myself. It’s just as great as the old model. I have used the shop-vac equivalent, and there is no comparison in power. I’m not sure what problem the previous reviewer had with vacuuming water. I don’t use the foam insert for splash protection while doing major water jobs, but would consider purchasing it. Just take out the filter, and use it to empty a five gallon bucket in about 20 seconds, or dry a hard or carpet floor incredibly well. I used mine to treat my carpets instead of renting a wet vac. I would recommend an aftermarket cleanstream filter once the paper filter wears-out. They last a very long time, are washable, and you don’t have to worry about ruining them with a little bit of intermittent water clean-up.
