  1. I would recommend a Lindhaus. I repair vacuums for a living and I can tell you I very rarely see a Lindhaus come in for a repair. They are excellent cleaners and have hospital grade filtration (read; won’t blow dust). The Diamonte series are within your price range at just above $700 I believe. A cool thing about this series is it’s ability to use the Host dry cleaning system. The host system is essentially a shampooing system but better for your carpet in that it doesn’t leave your carpets soaking wet (healthier too I might add). The reason only this vacuum can do it is you need to be able to use just the roller without the suction. Many vacuums can turn the roller on or off, but not the suction. In other words, for the price you are essentially getting a vacuum and a shampooer in one.

  3. I did my research on this about 1 year ago when I was sick of all these sweepers that talk about how good and reliable they are.

    We have a local sweeper shop in the town I live in and along with talking to them I researched it online too.

    I purchased a $210.00 sweeper. It’s a "Royal Power Path Privledge". It is made by Hoover and it works just as good today as the day I bought it.

    It requires bags. If you research this, bags are actually better than the bagless. It makes sense now but I was buying those bagless sweepers and where do you think all the dust was going?

    Its suction come from the center verses the side like you will find on most sweepers. This is another plus. The roller brush spins, breaking up the dust and whatever on the floor and since the suction comes from the center it can catch all that versus when the suction comes from one end or the other.

    I am very happy with this sweeper and would highly reccommend it.
