I need a powerful vacuum cleaner that would vacuum human and pet hair. Do you know of any good one?

There are vacuum cleaners made to pick up animal hair. Bissel has one that has lift off revolution, off pet written on the front of it. It has a little picture of a dog on it.
Wal Mart has these and another kind.
We’ve had good luck with Oreck and Hoover. I would expect to spend $200 or more if you want a good one.
I’d have to say the best vacuum for pet hair (if you don’t mind spending a few bucks) is the Dyson DC25 Animal. Amazon consumer comments indicate that this unit is very, very good at picking up pet hair. And it is also a very good all-around vacuum cleaner. However it will set one back about $500. Another vacuum that is effective on pet hair and less expensive is the Bissell Cleanview Helix model 21K3. There are 3 different Cleanview Helix models but consumers indicate that the 21K3 is the best one for picking up animal hair. Both the Bissell and the Dyson also come with HEPA filtration which helps remove allergens from the air.
