Everything I could ask for,
**Update**
After three weeks of using this product, it began shocking me. The first two times, I thought it was static from the carpet, but the third time really hurt. I turned off the vacuum and contacted QVC where I bought it, verified that there were no recalls, and got a new one shipped out to me. I have been using the replacement vacuum for 3.5 months without a problem. It’s nice to be able to clean my stairs and the second story without much effort of lugging an upright or large vacuum up the stairs.
after a year and a half, it works like new.

Best One of the Bunch,
The bottom line in the beginning is this is one fantastic vacuum cleaner no matter how you cut it. It is the best of any that I have used in a whole bunch of years and I highly recommend it to anyone. If details are critical please continue. If not, this is the machine for almost every person.
I have an older model Shark and an army of uprights that have seen many uses; however, I have yet to find one that matches this Shark Navigator Professional. No matter what the configuration, upright or canister, none has accomplished what Shark has. It picks up dirt and pet hair better than any of the others.
The features abound. It has two configurations which are as simple and easy to switch between as it is to turn on a light switch. The upright mode is made for humans doing normal cleaning jobs. From top to bottom, the handle is a rounded soft-plastic material with smooth non-abrasive edges designed for most of us. The handle fits into the canister with a click-snap and the canister is large enough to see the dirt collect. The dirt comes in at the bottom of the wand and goes through the hose into the canister. That design feature is the basis for the canister mode and I will get to it in a while. On the top of the dirt collector are 4 red buttons for Power, Powered Brush, Wand and Lift Away. When you want power with the brush turning just push the two buttons. When you want to lift the unit off the wheels and use it for reaching heights or under appliances it’s a snap-click. Push the Wand button and the metal want comes out of the for adding accessories or to the canister unit. Removing the collector is simple and easy as is opening the bottom of that collector to empty the dirt. The dirt collector has openings at the top and bottom so cleaning is simple. When you push the snap button the opening opens without any hassle. While the collector is off it is easy to access the foam filter for easy cleaning. Just reach in and lift it out without having to unscrew this or locate a screwdriver to loosen that. Just pick it out. This vacuum is designed so well that even at the bottom of the collector there are two almost invisible wheels to assist the user in replacing the collector by reducing the normal friction between the unit and the collector. Now that is attention to detail. There is space for two on-board tools and the tools stay on-board without falling off at the least touch. The cleaning head has 4 LED lights pointed so that they actually light up what is in front of the unit. The brush is made of a stiff material that removes pet hair and dirt from the floor. Our means of testing this aspect is to vacuum the floor with the present vacuum of choice. Then after we have vacuumed it is time for the Shark. Without going into each hair and each piece of dirt the previous vacuum of choice has been downgraded to the garage and replaced with this fantastic machine. Wheels are not a big deal to many folks but for me a large wheel makes cleaning easier when pushing the vacuum around. These wheels are large enough for my tastes. And I have not mentioned the capabilities of the canister mode for the vacuum.
Let me say a few more good words about the canister mode. Switching from upright to canister mode is just a click away. I hold the handle on the top of the dirt collector, push the “Lift Away” button and lift. Off comes the dirt collector from the brush roller and now you can use the vacuum as a separate unit or attach it to the canister base. The canister base is a 4 wheel hard plastic unit that holds the Lift Away portion. It fits onto the canister base in only one manner and when it is seated properly it clicks into place. Pull out the wand while pushing the Wand button and the hose becomes the puller. The placement of the hose at the bottom of the unit assures the user that the unit will not fall over as it might if the hose were on the top of the vacuum. Two large wheels on the back and two swivel wheels on the front make for movement with ease. I used it for non-upright applications such as cleaning out the space between washer and dryer or under the refrigerator (the included appliance attachment is wonderful for getting under refrigerators, washers, dryers and pieces of furniture that are too low for the head of a vacuum cleaner.) or for reaching high areas like on the top of cabinets.
Included in the package are accessories that will be used almost every time a complete cleaning job is demanded. Not only is the appliance tool included but the “back saver” tool is included and quite unique. It is about 34″ long (about 4″ longer than the upright’s wand) and 9″ from the bottom there is a break that permits the want to go from 180 degrees to 90 degrees and any place in between. All it takes is a click on the red (everything is color coded for ease of use) button and it works beautifully and oh so practical. Included is a…
