I have 2 ladies cleaning my house for a one-time appointment. The rate is /hour and they’ll be here about 2 hours total so I’ll be paying 0. They’re vacuuming and doing bathrooms only. Should I tip them and if so, how much?
Ok so far I’ve got 2 pay 10 dollars and 3 don’t tip anything. Keep the answer coming please! I’m hoping one answer will show up more than the other and now its about even…
its an agency

No don’t tip them. You are already paying and they is getting $120 every time they clean. That is the profession they have chose. And it isn’t like they are doing a lot of work.
It isn’t like they are a waitress who only makes about $4.00 an hr.
Don’t tip them.
2 people at 60$ and hr equals $30 an hr a piece. Do you make $30 an hour?
If they work for an agency, no. But if you hire them yourself you can tip by rounding up any partial hours they work. And you can afford to, because you would only pay half that much and the ladies would get to keep it all, instead of the agency keeping half.
Only if you think they deserved it. 🙂
If they are a regular cleaning service, you give a tip during the holidays equivalent to a percentage of business they’ve done with you over the past year.
Other than that, you pay their hourly fee.
I’ve had cleaning services for years and no, you don’t tip them.
Dang…I’m gonna start cleaning houses. thats $30 an hour each!
I would say $10 each
It is not necessary to tip under this circumstance. If you were to hire these ladies routinely it would be appropriate to tip at Christmas.
