Has Anyone actually used baking soda and salt to kill fleas?

I’m just wondering if anyone has used these two on carpets to get rid of fleas and how long it took to be rid of them. I don’t want to use pesticides because I do workouts on the carpet and I don’t want to be sweating and rolling around in it. I’ve seen a lot of info about mixing equal parts iodized salt and baking soda and rubbing them into the carpet, letting it sit then vacuuming (rinse and repeat every 1-2 days for a couple weeks) it up and disposing of the results immediately. If anyone has any tips about using these things while getting rid of fleas i’m all ears

thanx
I might try the white vinegar option. I’ve already tried bug bombing the place and it didn’t do much. I’m trying to avoid using to many pesticides because I do dvd workouts in the carpeted areas and i don’t want role around in pesticides

Thanx for the help 🙂

  1. I never tried that, but if you read it somewhere try it and see if works, i would spray bug likker around and vacum in a few minutes afterward, then spray the vaccum container unless is a paper bag nad dispose of it right away. If you catch a flee make sure you wet your finger first to stop from jumping and squeeze it between your tumb nais to kill it.

  2. Spray white vinegar on the carpeting and that will get rid of the fleas. We used that for years when we lived in parts of the country where fleas showed up anyplace, and we used to spray our pastures with it, too for the horses. We added it to their oats/meal as well, and when they sweat the vinegar kept the flies off the horses.

It won’t hurt the carpeting. We had white wool carpeting throughout and it was always perfect.
