  1. I purchased a Simplicity Verve last year (basically a Cinch with a Powerhead). It’s an excellent vacuum and I would recommend it.

When purchasing it I was looking for a vacuum with high-quality filtration. My final decision to choose between the Simplicity Verve and a Miele (I forget the model). Here’s what I can remember about the decision process:

    Simplicity Verve PROS
    – self-standing wand (with powerhead; Cinch will need to mount to canister)
    – hose twisted at both wand and canister connections (Miele only featured the canister-end I believe)
    – almost half the price

    Miele PROS
    – quieter operation (not as big of a deal when powerhead is in use)
    – better filtration (people argue about this- what is certain is that both offer high quality filtration)
    – interface for motor speed is on the handle, not on the canister
    – charcoal based filter for odor reduction

I would recommend either vacuum. Some of the Simplicity vacuums are made in the USA, so that may influence your decision. The Verve, however, is manufactured and assembled in China. All Mieles are manufactured and assembled in Germany as far as I know but if this is important to you please double-check.
