need help to clarify doubt about: : Best robot vacuum carpet cleaner?
I was looking into the Roomba 581, but its very loud. Anyone know any other good robot vacuums for carpet AND tile? If anyone has any experience with the Roomba vacuum please let me know!

I have a Roomba 530, and it works well on my rug and flooring. It will have problem with deep carpet, but under 1cm of hair is okay. I’ve put all my experiences with my Roomba on my website at http://www.about-robots.com/irobot-roomba-vacuum.html
Note that compared with other brands, the Roomba goes randomly several time over each part of the floor, in different directions, which does make it more efficient (though a lot slower) than other robots on carpets. I hope I don’t sound too like iRobot’s PR, but I really am happy with the Roomba.
As for the noise, a robot vacuum cleaner usually make a lot less noise than standard vacuums, and you don’t even have to be in the same room when it’s working, so I don’t think it’s that much of a problem.
