This review is from: Black & Decker LSW120 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Sweeper (Lawn & Patio)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What’s this?)

This little blower/sweeper is surprisingly strong. Black & Decker claims air speeds up to 120 MPH. It does have less air volume than a typical plug-in type blower. It’s very capable of blowing leaves and small debris off walkways and driveways. This unit’s claim to fame is it’s lithium-ion battery, which is an advance over previous types of batteries. So how long will this new battery last?

Used continuously, the battery started loosing steam after 5½ minutes and quit abruptly after 8½ minutes. Used intermittently (2 minutes on 1 minute off), battery life was about the same. Expect batteries to loose capacity as they age. Black & Decker recommends that you charge the battery immediately after use and not leave it stored in a state of discharge. That’s not usually the rule for lithium-ion batteries. Black & Decker says it’s safe to just store the battery on the charger. Charging takes just under 8 hours.

The charger maybe slow, but it has extra features to make charging gentle on the battery. If the battery is too hot or cold, the charger delays charging until the battery temperature is within normal range. After my battery life tests, the charger imposed a 15 minute cool down period before starting the charge cycle.

Unfortunately, the charger isn’t wall mountable. Also, Black & Decker says the pack may be charged between the temperatures of 40° and 105°, but it is best to charge between 60° and 80°. So if you want the best battery life, you’ll need to devote space on a tabletop inside your home.

The Black & Decker leaf blower is light and easy to take apart for storage. It’s relatively quiet and especially easy to maneuver with no cord. If you are looking to handle smaller jobs, It’s a good deal.
