Fahmid need help to clarify doubt about: : can I use rugdoctor as vacuum cleaner too?
I want to clean up my apartment, it has mostly carpet (with a lot of pet hair on it, and other little debris). I wanted to rent a rugdoctor from my local publix.
Can I use the rugdoctor as vacuum cleaner too? or do I need I seperate vacuum?
I understand rugdoctor instructions say to clean with vacuum before using rugdoctor …. just wanted to save some money.

No, you need to vacuum the carpets before you clean them….think about it in terms of trying to wash your car with dirty water – not going to work very well.

Vacuuming the carpet with a rug doctor without using water can actually damage the machine. Carpet cleaning machines are designed to use water and using it without water will allow the dust to be sucked into the vacuum motors causing premature failure.
