    SquareTrade is a warranty extended plan that is really cheap and compared to other warranty extended plans is almost 70% cheaper than the normal rate for a 2 year warranty

    After my first experience with signing up on their website with my first warranty purchase, I realized they are able to keep all of your information about all of your warranties together so that you can never loose your Warranty information.

    Pros: Every Warranty you purchase earns you reward points to purchase other warranties at a discount .

    Cons: buying an extended warranty directly from their website is more expensive than if you buy it directly with the purchase on Amazon

    Bottom line, I highly recommend SquareTrade protection plans when purchased only through Amazon

    Back on “Amazon Prime Day” I purchased a Black & Decker “dust buster” and the “1 year extended warranty” from Square Trade at the same time. Well it seems that Square Trade has a different definition of “extended” than others might. Black and Decker offers a 2 year warranty. I assumed (silly me) that when Square Trade describes a plan using the term 1-Year Extended that would mean the product would be covered for 3 years. Manufacturer’s warranty plus one year from them. Well in their world extended means it runs parallel. Their customer service representative Aubrey’s words, as we chatted online: “The coverage starts from the date the warranty has been purchased until the end of its tenor. It is not activated after the manufacturers warranty ends but runs parallel. Most manufacturers only offer 6 months to a year. As Black and Decker is offering you a two year warranty, you could keep the Square Trade warranty to utilize in the event that the manufacturer denies coverage”. Not quite sure about the logic of double coverage. So I canceled the policy. It wasn’t expensive, I just don’t like being mislead.
