cleaning up the dust after construction?

I bought a house and I replaced all the old dry walls with new dry walls. everything is done, but the problem is, so much dust in the whole house. i remember the house was full of dust and so foggy when i was taking out the old dry walls. we swept and vacuum and mopped all the floor in the house. i opened all the windows for 3 days. i know that i also need to clean the walls and ceilings, but we dont use a mop and mop all the walls and ceilings right? by the way, it is a 2-story house. so i wonder if theres any fast and easy way to do that. we just brought in some new mirror 3 days ago and its already dusty today.
so any tips? I’d like to remove the dust as much and quick as possible before i move in. Thanks!

  1. Sure you can use a mop, to mop the ceilings. Go to the dollar store and get one with replaceable heads, and wipe. The main reason that I answered is because, there is something else that you can do:

While you are cleaning, turn on your heater to simple air circulation and run it. It will suck up dust. Now, check and change your filters fairly often during this process. Ahah! Forget that all kinds of dust got in the heating ducts did we? Plus, it is going to get dust out of the ambient air.

Use those cheap filters and check them as you go. You get the idea.

  2. I also have replaced old drywall, i know what you mean, dust is everywhere. I opened all the windows and reversed the wet/dry vac.
It will take many cleaning intervals to finally feel comfortable.

  3. i would open all the windows and doors use a leaf blower to blow as much dust as i can out of the house than use a big damp sponge and wipe the ceiling and walls down
