Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

What I like:
1. Beautiful red color makes it attractive enough to leave out in sight instead of hiding it away.
2. Super easy set-up. Only one screw to connect the handle to the unit. You don’t even need a screwdriver – the instruction say you can just use a nickel out of your pocket to tighten the screw.
3. Light weight unit as a whole made it easy to use by all members of our household
4. Decent suction on hard surfaces and and on throw rugs
5. Very good maneuverability for getting around corners and under table legs
6. The LED lights on the front of the unit were a great help when hunting down crumbs and cat litter. This was one of my favorite features.
7. Hand held dust buster style unit detaches with one push of a button. A crevice attachment comes with it to get all the nooks and crannies.
8. Free standing on hard surfaces, but wobbly on carpet
9. Runs up to 30 minutes on a charge. It never ran out on me.
What I didn’t like (or I would improve on)
1. The power connection to the back of the unit just looks like a screw hole. It was not marked on the unit or the instructions. It was perplexing and annoying to find it the first time.
2. No light on the handheld unit like on the main unit. That would have been awesome. ( HINT HINT Electrolux)
3. Handheld unit is a bit bulky and wide so you pretty much have to use the attachment to get into small spaces.
4. Self cleaning brush roller is and excellent idea but it is poorly executed. It is pretty useless and never worked for me.
5. The size of the dust bin does limit the amount of work you can do at once. It is a trade-off to make it light-weight and compact.
6. The paper filter inside the dust bin will need to be changed out fairly regularly and are an added cost. I wish that it didn’t have one, but I understand the purpose.
Other Notes that might be helpful:
*Initial charge is 24 hours. After that it is 4 hours to charge.
*One button for on/off. A second button for normal and high power
*Lights indicate charge level:
3 orange lights = 75% or higher
2 orange lights = 75-25%
1 orange light = less than 25%
(blinking orange light = empty)
*Warning lights:
-red light indicates the unit is overly hot and needs a break, (you cleaning fool!) Filters and roller may need cleaning.
-flashing red light = the motor is overloaded and turning off, possible obstruction
*Maintenance:
-Dust container- empty every cleaning by removing the filers and gently tapping the dust out into your trash.
-Fine filter cleaning- recommended every cleaning by pulling the release springs 5-6 times.

I was delighted to open the box with this vacuum inside. To be honest, I expected it to be like the electric brooms of old, the ones that were more like someone took a hairdrier fan and inverted it.
It’s very lightweight, which didn’t add to my enthusiasm or hopes of a good vacuum but I was fooled.
After putting it together (one screw) I placed it by the wall plug and let it charge for 24 hours per the directions. Yes, it stands on its own, which did surprise me
An orange light lets you know that you’re doing fine and when it blinks slowly it lets you know it’s done.
When It was ready I unplugged it and just started on the kitchen floor which is just moved on nicely. But the test I wanted to see was the Carpet – Since it does have a beater bar I thought is should do pretty nicely and it really did – cat hair was finding it’s way to the bagless filters pretty effortlessly.
Everything about this little gem is intuitive. the bottom half separates from the long handle with the push of a button to reveal a mini hand held vacuum with the same power (since it IS the power) and the attachment for upholstery and crevices is a nice touch.
The biggest disadvantage is the size of the dirt compartment, with two cats, the filter needs to be emptied frequently but luckily you squeeze two buttons on the bottom of the hand held part, then squeeze two buttons on the top of the filter aread and dump. I had to manually remove the hair but it came out easily and there was plenty of it considering I just did a couple of spots on the rug. When it’s full, it starts whinning, you’ll recognize the “Clean Me” sound when you hear it.
There are two speeds – Normal and High with High using more of the battery but having the most power. Normal speed is all you really need for tile or hardwood.
You cannot stop the beater bar so you are advised to make sure it is free from things that might scratch a wood floor.
This will be my new “Go To” quick broom (there, I just called it an electric broom) for messes in the kitchen, the stairs and throw rugs and as I learn more, I’ll update you on battery life and other discoveries.
