Deep cleaning my aunt's house?

My aunt passed away a few weeks ago and I was given the task of deep cleaning her house to put it on the market. Although it is not too cluttered, and not too dirty, I want to give it that fresh smell that cleaning detergents give a house after it has been cleaned. I know how to do all the basics (mopping, vacuuming, etc. lol) but I was just wondering if you had any tips on giving the house a fresh smell and ultra-clean appearance. (I have kids so I hire people to clean my house every two weeks, which is very helpful but I just LOVE the way it smells when I get home from my job.) Thanks!!

  1. I clean houses and before I leave I spray fabreeze in the air. It smells nice without being too overpowering. Since the house is going on the market, you might want to buy the plug in air freshners. Get one that smells like hot apple pie or cinnamon rolls or something else that smells like something is cooking. Its an added touch that buyers will notice.

  2. Use bleach on all white surfaces, use comet in all sinks, tubs, toilets and wipe all walls, outlet covers and window sills.Use a broom to remove all cobwebs. Most ppl forget to clean all dead bugs and dust from the light fixtures but it helps make the house more pleasant.Use clorox cleaning wipes for the appliances especially the refridgerator.Place blue ty-d bol tabs in the tanks of the toilets and when u do laundry add ammonia to the laundry soap, use Suavitel fabric softener as it gives a very pleasant aroma through the entire house. When u shampoo the carpets add fabric softener 2 the soap so a good smell stays n the carpets.Use oxy clean or ammonia on stains.Use small scissors to trim burned or damaged fibers of the carpet.U can spray the curtains with a fabric spray or put a dab of air freshener oil on the bulbs before leaving so when the lights r turned on it immediately starts to work(most ppl leave a light on when a house is vacant). Or Burn Nag Champa incense before leaving.Sorry for your loss.Good Luck!.
