Phone Molly Maid and ask them this skill question. If they pass then tell them you might considered hiring them.
What do you think? Answer below!
I would say vacuum first and then dust. Here is my theory. When you dust you catch a good bit on your rag but what does not get on the rag is dispersed in the air and as we have all seen it floats around and slowly will go to the floor(and sadly back on our nicely dusted surface.) So you will not really be vacuuming up your dust. Now if you vacuum first you will stir up dust and it will get on your furniture. If you haven’t dusted yet alot will be gathered up on you rag. If you have dusted then you are just adding dust back to your newly dusted surface.
So, Vacuum then dust. Oh, another aspect to this. Vacuuming doesn’t smell great and often we use a furniture polish as we dust which does tend to smell nice so if you have vacuumed and then you dust (which is usually a finishing touch) you finish off the room with a nice smell and a sparkle.
I like to vacuum first. I feel like the vacuum stirs up dust in the house. Then I dust last. Unless I’m doing a major cleaning like dusting ceiling fans, etc. Then I dust first.
get the right vaccuum , & you won’t have to dust ( much) .You don’t have to be a woman to know that labor-saving devices should …uh,…. save labor .;D
you have to dust first. why would you vacuum the carpet and then go around dusting throwing dirt on the carpet? and what the heck does “discrimating” mean?
Dust first…
reason is the dust that falls on the floor will be vacuumed up.
Peace.
