Any tips for cleaning plastic mesh window screens?
Usually I just vacuum them and hose them off before I put them away in the fall, but last year I never got around to it and they spent the winter in the garage … and now they really need a good cleaning. I’m not sure what kind of cleaning product to use, or whether to use a sponge, a brush, or what.
I have a LOT of them to do and I’d like to get them installed today so I can open the windows (yay!) while it’s warm outside.
Thanks!
Stand them up against a wall and pressure wash them with a pressure washer or a high pressure hose.
Got a car wash brush? Lay them on the lawn, scrub them with the car wash brush and soapy water, rinse and then wash the other side.
Works for me.
spray water on it..and use news paper to clean windows
I would recommend washing powder/clorox in hot water, a string mop and a sprayer nozzle attached to your hose. The bleach will clean all the debris and they smell clean. Good luck on your spring cleaning.
