Exterminators or anyone with Pest Experience–Please Answer?

My boyfriend and I have moved into an Apt that has roaches. The building manager acknowledged they have them and has sent out an exterminator three times now to no avail. We mentioned to management if they could spray all units.Their answer-NO,they would have to go to every door asking what’s going on and they wont do this.We have put out bait stations(not gel ones),dusted boric acid, sticky pads and exterminator sprayed twice and third time used a nerve agent in the walls. Not to mention I have run myself ragged cleaning top to bottom, every inch of this apt every day.I take out trash every night before bed, everything is cleaned up immediately after eating, pull out stove and fridge and clean behind it,clean drip trays on stove,vacuum,mop..etc..my apt is so clean you could eat off our floor.Do you have anything else we can do,put out for them to poison themselves or any other tips to eliminate them from at least this apt.I dont know my neighbors, and I have yet to see the exterminator show up at their doors so I’m assuming they must enjoy the nasty roaches company, but we DO NOT.Any Suggestions on something else that is effective over the counter that we could purchase to keep the numbers down,I know without them spraying each unit they will not be eliminated, but something to reduce them greatly in our place at the very least. We cannot move right now,it’s not even an option.Any and all serious advice is appreciated.

  1. we had the same thing with ours – my ex had a 2 bedroom apt and i had a 2 bedroom – so after the exterminaters got done – same problem they came back – and the lanlord said no until 4-6 more months – which was fine with us – we first pulled every droor on everything in the kitchen – we fogged and heavy sprayed behind in the back walls – every creavious – pulled the stove and fridge bleached and cleaned everything – no grease at all anywhere – they hate bleach but that only last a couple of days – anyway we sprayed all electrical outlets – with power off for a few hours – and only lightly sprayed those – we sprayed all cable box holes heavy – all cabnits under – over inside – out side – and epecially underneath – all pipe holes – water and drain holes – heavy – and all water tank closet and furnace a/c closet – – we used 6 foggers and 3-4 cans of spray in each apartment – and left the fumes enclosed for about 5 hours – the foggers always do last – and presto no roaches or only a few left – the ones that are always smart – there is always a few – just spray them suckers as you see them – also they hate light – if you turn on lights at night they dont like light at all – we got rid of ours but it took doing this 2 times – and yes our apts were always clean too

  2. you can probably stop them yourselves with baits that come in the large syringe such as Combat or Maxforce. Easy to place out where the roaches hide and live. Avoid placing out sprays whether it is a natural product such as Eugenol or a conventional product, where you place the bait. Unlike the sprays the baits will attract the roaches to feed, I have taken care of worse roach problems than you could imagine in apartment settings where I do not treat the neighbors by using bait. If the neighbors have them, yes you will occasionally have one venture over, but you more than likely will just find a dead roach now and then.
