I LOVE MY PRO TEAM SIERRA, April 18, 2009

I love my Pro Team Sierra. I have allergies. To be able to vacuum and not have dust particles or dust odor from the vacuum is wonderful. It has great suction. My floors haven’t been this clean in years. I have an old house with wood floors. Crud falls into the crevasses. My old vacuum would not create enough suction to get the crud out. My Sierra does. The portability is great too. With a 2-story house, it is wonderful to put it on my back and take it with me, up stairs and down. No more bumping and dragging the hose behind.

Great For Lunch Meat, October 30, 2009

A set of 2 deli containers came with my Freshsaver, plus I bought a set of 2 additional ones.

These do work well for lunch meat, but it is alittle tight I think if you are going to put in an entire pound of lunch meat, like it says it holds.

I have also used them for brownie bites, California Rolls, and strudel bites.

I also have the Foodsaver bags, but the deli containers are nice for things like bakery items, which are kind of delicate. You can keep the air out without squishing the contents.

They do hold a fair amount, so I intend to also use them for leftovers. I do also use them for deli meats.

    A very versatile item!

Be sure to wash at least the lid by hand, like the company says you should. I have put the bottoms in the top rack of my dishwasher, but I normally just wash them by hand, along with the lid. It doesn’t take long!

I like these containers a lot and I think they are very useful. You have to know a few tricks, though. First of all, it is important to make sure that the vacuuming process does work every single time. Sometimes during dish-washing, the rubber band under the lid might get misplaced, and then the vacuuming won’t work. It’s easily fixable, but you just have to pay attention if you don’t want your foods to get spoiled. Also, these particular containers don’t fit a lot in them, so they are not good for large servings of food. If you are planning to store something perishable in them for a long period of time (over a week), I suggest you check on the container every 3-4 days to see whether it’s still vacuumed. If it is, you will see it — the container changes its form a little when it’s under vacuum. Don’t buy it from Food saver’s website — it’s much more expensive than anywhere else… Otherwise, enjoy — I have 6 of these, and I use them all the time.
