Getting cat pee out of carpet?

My cat has been peeing all over my house lately. When I find a spot, I spray it really good with Simple Green and then scrub it with a towel. Then, I spray Resolve carpet cleaner on the area and let it dry and then vacuum it. I can still smell cat pee faintly and I am wondering what else I can do to get rid of the smell. Are there any other products I can try? Thanks.
I also wanted to add that sometimes I do not find the pee spots until I wake up in the morning so it had sat there all night. Ugh, so gross. Are there products for tough situations like this?

  1. I’ve been using Urine Be Gone. It comes with a black light to find the spots. This works better than the Nature’s Miracle at least for my cats. And they are pretty bad.

I buy it at Bed Bath & Beyond but I think they may also have it at Lowes.

  2. It may sound funny but wash the carpet where she peed with shampoo and then get a towel and dry it up, then pour baking soda around it dont be shy about it either go ahead and pour a good bit and then vacuum it up. it works perfectly, by the way its alot easier and faster than the way i just wrote it, hope this helps

  3. natures miracle and simple solution are 2 of the best products for that .You can get them at petsmart. You can also get a black light that can find stains also.

  4. pet stores sell a cleaner just for this
there are a few brands but they work the same

you should get your cat to a vet
peeing in the house , if it just started out of the blue , could be a sign of a urinary tract illness or kidney problem
