When I brought it home it worked fine and its been used by my roommates a few times since then. But now for some reason when I turn it on the only part that becomes suctiony is the extendable hose thing. I can not figure out how to get it back to regular old vacuum suction and/or get the little twirly brush thats underneath there moving again. I feel like its something really simple like a button I need to push or something I’m supposed to unscrew but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. I doubt that its broken since it worked fine a while ago. And I really don’t want to vacuum my whole house with that little hose. So help me please!

try takin it apart. that happened to me at work. prob not same vacuum but something got stuck and didnt allow for it to suck or move the brushes.
Did the BAND (the rubber thing that attaches to the motor that makes the brushes twirl) break? Sounds that way if you aren’t getting any brush action. You probably need to replace that, AND make sure that there’s not a load of crap packed up in the small tube below where the extendable hose goes into the base of the unit.
Think about spending money on a Roomba vacuum. So long as you keep the chamber emptied and the brushes WELL cleaned, they pick up a lot of stuff.
