and will come to my apartment clean the carpet inside in like 1 hour… It is not his company’s responsibility to clean inside, he’s just doing me a favor on the side.. How much should i pay him? ? ? it’s a small apartment 1 bedroom. will probably take him around 15 minutes. my guess is he is earning like – an hour(?). however it’s a great favor for me because from my point of view my other option is to buy a special carpet vacuum cleaner which can cost 0. I am renting here so do not want to spend that amount plus i have no room to store such a vacuum cleaner. so.. is dollar enough ? it will be a tip, it’s between us and he is doing me a favor using the company’s equipment. If it takes 15 min., I’d give him $25. You want to give him enough that the next time you need a favor, he’ll be there for you!
I would pay him at least $25. for his time. It is worth that to you to not have to do it yourself and have it professionally done.

that is good pay.
If it takes longer than 15 minutes then pay at the rate of $40.00 per hour.
