  1. Manufacturers are starting to wise up to the consumer who needs a vacuum that can handle pet hair easily. there are some stick vacuums, but they probably won’t be as powerful as the standard vacuums. There are some good bagless vacuums on the market however. Would be worth checking out some reviews on those.

  2. Expensive, but the Dyson Animal Vac does a good job. Also the newer Roomba (Costco usually has them) does a great job picking up pet hair. The downside of the Roomba is that you need to clean it after it has completed its cycle, and on occasion it will need to be cleaned out during its run cycle. But it is cool because it beeps you and tells you to clean it
I have not had much success with the manual or electric stick vacuums.

  3. I had the same dilemma and it got fixed with the purchase of a Bissell Sweep Up for less than $20. Anyways it works great for picking up pet hair from carpet and it also works well on my tile floors.

It is light weight, convenient, and NO power/electric cord to deal with.

Great for fast and easy cleaning.
