Hi,
I have a woven rug that has a carpet pad underneath it to keep it from moving. We also have its end under the sofa to prevent it from moving. However now that I vacuum it, it just tends to fold up at the ends and makes vacumming very difficult.
What do you do?
Thanks
Got a lot of those, and I generally stand on it, vacuuming the part I’m not standing on.
Well it says you have a carpet pad, but have you used carpet tape? I always have to tape mine down so they don’t move around. It also depends on the size of the rug, the weight, and the suction on your vacuum. Try raising the brush roller, or go along the edge so the tassles (if it has any) are to the side of the vacuum, not in front. Or just use the attachment hose. Or pick it up and beat it out outside if it is really causing problems.
raise the brushes up on the sweeper
if it is not to big take it outside and shake by hand
if to big take out and hang over the clothes line and beat it or sweep at it with a broom
hope one of these work
Make my boyfriend stand on the rug and vacuum between us. Seriously =/
Sometimes its just better to take those types of rugs outside and beat them, than to deal with the hassle of having the damn vacuum eat them all the time.
