    We had a Rainbow twenty years ago or so and really liked it. But the motor burned out after quite a few years of use and we didn’t find any one to repair it, so we ended up having to scrap it. We didn’t want to spend that much money again on a vac. So we bought a traditional vac that we ended up hating, but used it until it died. We bought the Sirena because it works like a Rainbow at a fraction of the cost. It has the same issue as the rainbow – when you’re done vacuuming you have a bowl of muddy water that needs to be disposed of. We’re okay with that – it seems to do a really good job of vacuuming, and you know that if the dirt is in the water, it isn’t being spewed back out into the air. The one drawback in the design of the Sirena that I have noticed is that the top part of the canister can’t be set squarely on the floor when removing it from the bottom part to dump the water after use – so it falls over. Other than that it seems to be a really good vac that works like a Rainbow at about 1/3 of the cost.
