I have had a rainbows for 18 years as well and love it. A bit of a pain having to make sure U do not knock it over going around a corner ect so water does not leek out…BUT U never sneeze while using it due to dust being blown back into the air while in use and I do love it!!!

I had a 19 year old rainbow and is still work perfectly in my house!:)

@PixieTrailSprite BECAUSE its company policy. The only thing you can do is tell the sales man, wrap it up so you dont have to sit through the entire demo.
I love everything about the Rainbow EXCEPT the fact that they must be purchased from encyclopedia-type sales people. If I already know how they work, what they do, and want one, why can’t I just order it straight from the manufacturer or go to a retail outlet to purchase one WITHOUT subjecting myself to high pressure and paying sales commission for something I don’t need demonstrated and already desire?

I do not sell them, but have been aware of them since I was 5 years old (now 42 years old) If you really want your carpet and home to be FRESH and CLEAN….get one, regardless of the year or model. They are sooooo well constructed and the average life span is in excess of 20 years! They clean just as good when they are 20 years old as the day it was new because it NEVER loses air-flow, which is the true ability to clean. Hope this helps!:)
When you vacuum, do you really want to get the dirt and debris up? Then own a Rainbow, regardless of what year or model it is! It is well made (average life is 20+ years!) and even improves the air-quality in your home each time you use it! There is no better vacuum on the market!!!! (no, i do not sell them)
Own a Rainbow to effectively clean your home, regardless of what model it is or how old….own one! They are simple the most effective, well made vacuums….PERIOD!
Uses water as primary filter for dirt. Other than that a relatively ordinary vacuum cleaner with an extraordinarily high price.
Just think for $1800 you could hire a maid to clean your home for several years. Perhaps you can find a maid that brings her own Rainbow if you’re impressed with them…
Alternative vacuums for $200-$400

I don’t remember anything else he said but that, it was the spiritual tone he siad it that triggered my memory?
One thing that has never left my memory……………..I was a small boy living on slab road & Tracey M. came over to throw a sales pitch to mom & dad and during his speech he said where does the dust go? In a spiritual tone & he raised both hands and looked up in the air & said “In the air”! That “in the air” has never left my memory!!!!!!!!!!! In a rainbow the dust goes in water.

We have gone through so many vacuums because I couldnt get the carpets spotless. We have solid maroon carpet and it shows every speck. We got a Rainbow vacuum and it is awesome it cleans so well! I would recomend it! The carpets look awesome!!!! (I dont know what they cost we got ours free from a friend)

I agree with all of you. My parents owned a rainbow for 50 years. The only reason we got a new one is because the new ones were quieter
I’ve had the same Rainbow for the past 30 years and I still love it. I’ve used it at least once a week and the power is still as good as the day I bought it. As long as you empty the container and wipe it clean it will never rust.
