How to replace Dyson filters on a Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner

  2. There is one more thing to do to make a Dyson that is down on suction as good as new, and that is to ***dismantle and clean the cyclone***.

    My machine was way down on suction. That turned out to be due to huge ammount of dust trapped inside the cyclone that no ammout of shaking or tapping could shift.
    Cleaning transformed it. Definitely an outdoors job if yours is anything like as bad as mine was.

  4. Yes sure Matt, that lid must have suffered “quite a bit of wear and tear” buried deep within the machine. Hard to believe but some poor soul out there will probably take his advice and actually replace it.

  6. Thanks fot that. I thought I was doing something wrong when I was trying to remove the HEPA filter housing using brute force and ignorance – seems I was doing just fine. Disgusting x year old filter removed, will get a new clean one ASAP!

    filters on any machine should be cleaned replaced periodically. One would certainly have to replace the air filter in a mercedes from time to time.

  9. Wow!! That hepa filter should have been changed 2 years ago.Not 4..That is why there is so many problems with the dc04,dc07,dc14.The hepa filter is never chaged because Dyson says its a liftime filter.NOT!! That will do nothing but burn a motor out.

  10. If I was to spend that much money on a vacuum, I’m certainly not going to expect to buy parts every few years. It’s kinda like buying a mercedes and, having to replace the doors every 4 years. Now days there are as good products out there like this dyson at a much cheaper price tag.

  12. A HEPA filter is also supposed to filter out Barium Sulphate which is being sprayed globally throughout our atmosphere.
