Should I buy a Dicen Vacuum Cleaner?

I’m big on Consumer Reports….and Dicen doesn’t score big. The Sears Kenmore scores much better and is less money.
I have two cats and an older home…I want a vacuum that will do a good job and is great with attachments that are simple to use.

  1. They have the vacuum for people with animals and it is GREAT. I have one and would not trade it for anything, the attachments are easy to access and really simple to use.

  2. I have the Dyson animal — I love it. (It came with a few attachments included a little motorized one for the stairs and a flat one for under furniture.) I have a long haired dog that sheds like crazy and a couple of kids. Between the kids and the dog, I’m always vacuuming. The Dyson does a great job. It’s easy to pull out of the closet and go.

The one drawback for me is the attachment that you have to put on to get under the sofa and coffee table — that can be cumbersome. (I’ve gotten used to it though)

The only other vacuum system that compared (IMO) was the Rainbow cleaning system (water based), but that wasn’t as easy to use and you had to dispose of a water and dirt filled basin. I just empty the Dyson container in the garbage and it’s good to go again.

  3. I have a Dyson vacuum that I have had for two years. In 35 years of owning vacuums it is the best… I have pets and it gets up all of the pet hairs. It cleans easy and I have never needed to repair it. Also, I find that the hose and attachments are easy to use. I give it 5 stars!!!

  4. Which Dyson are you looking at? I love mine – it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever had. I have a cat and dog and never have a problem picking up the hair.
