Tips on how to clean human feces out of a carpet?

My boyfriend and I just moved into the basement of a friend’s house, and the bedroom is filthy. Not only does it have stains all over the carpet, it’s also got old feces pressed into the carpet and smeered on the walls! Does anyone have any tips on how to clean up this filth? We have beed using carpet shampoo, a deck brush, hot water, and a shop vacuum to clean it up so far, but it just won’t come out! Tips Please???

  1. If carpet is that bad, I would suggest getting a different carpet. Replacing would be better for your health or tear it out & use throw rugs (depending what is under carpet). Usually can get cheaper carpet called a remnant at carpet stores.

Walls scrubbed. Paint them. Sounds like you are going to spend more $ and LOTS of work to no avail if you keep trying to clean it. The friend that has the house should help with the expense by paying for it, reducing rent or something. It should NOT be ALL your expense.

  2. Tell your friend to round up the former occupant who made the mess and make him clean it, preferably with a toothbrush and possibly his tongue. If your friend refuses, move out and leave behind 12 sticks of TNT with a short fuse. If you absolutely insist on staying then try sulphuric acid, full strength. There is no reason to protect the house. It is contaminated with too many diseases.

  3. I’d buy a new carpet.

Even if i could get it clean I don’t think I’d be able to live somewhere knowing that somone had shat on the carpet :s

Didn’t you check the place out before you moved in??

  4. I think you would be better having the carpet steam cleaned, You can spot clean, but what will happen is the carpet will never dry properly , The underside of the carpet will begin to mold. And you will be left with water marks popping up all over the floor, As the water marks always reach the surface, if you can have it steam cleaned I think it would save you a lot of trouble , The walls you can try with sugar soap, this work´s well on dirty walls

  5. Use vinegar in with your carpet shampoo, it will take out not only the smell but will add boost to the shampoo. Whiter and brighter!! Peroxide will work to straight on the stain. Then shampoo again.

  6. If you are going to be there for a while , consider painting and ripping out the carpet. good luck!!
