thatonegirl need help to clarify doubt about: : Any tips on sending homemade goods overseas?
I want to send some homemade stuff to a friend stationed in the military overseas. The problem: How?
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how and what to send?
Will puppy chow keep 3 weeks to get there? Are cookies okay to send?
I’m sort of new to this and would love any suggestions! Thanks!

as long as you pack in plastic storage boxes, like sandwich boxes, otherwise your lovely cookies will probably be nothing more than crumbs by the time they get there. I would pack up cookies, brownies, cheerio mix and all kinds of other goodies to my husband and i would put them in a plastic bag first sealed, and then into a plastic throw-away type storage box. and then pack it all in a big cardboard box and put packing, bubble wrap or shredded paper around the boxes, we never had problems… first time, not so good, crumbs!! A lot of military post is room available meaning if there is room on the plane for it, they will ‘get it in’ and that is great but also makes for a bumpy ride sometimes. hope this helps you out! 🙂 ooooohh, also don’t pay for first class post as like i said space available also means no matter what post you paid for once it reaches the plane if they can get it on, they will regardless of postage paid.

  1. Try googling the recipe for cakes in a jar.

I don;t know if it’s taking three weeks now for shipping…check and see…

also only use the usps flat rate shippping boxes….must say flat rate on front to keep costs down…..

also google operation care and comfort for the latest things to send. they have been helping send boxes since the beginning of the war.
