Carpets are only a year old but already they have become flattened where we step on the treads. Inevitable as they get a lot of use but would be nice to get the carpet looking as new as it actually is!

Only a year old? I’d complain to the store from whence it came.
Consider steaming the carpets after a good cleaning (the steam puts life back into the fibers) and then consider getting a runner for the stairs. While it won’t protect the fibers from getting crushed on your carpet, it will keep the dirt from getting ground in and that’s what causes the "worn look" on even new carpets. Most runners you would put on your stairs will need to be secured, but most home improvement stores have what you’ll need. Good Luck! 🙂
This works great.Got a stiff push-broom? Believe me,that really works wonders on carpet. Not to mention it rakes all the pet hair out! Try it, you’ll see the difference. Byee
