I have become the unofficial steam mop princess over the years it appears…several years ago my friends and I did an extensive comparison of steam floor mops that others found very helpful and when my time came to try out canister mops I did the same. I have tried other steamers since them, some were better and some were worse, but I began to think all the tricks, gimmicks, and genuine improvements to steamers had already been done.

Until now.

On all other steam mops I found that those that had a long hose wound up having steam that cooled as it traveled through the hose so that it might start out at a very hot temp, but the length caused that heat to lessen along the way.

So when I got this one ready to try out, I assumed I’d see the same thing. I didn’t have my hopes up all that high.
Boy, was I surprised!

This one is pressurized so if you put the steam on the “high” setting, you will see clean like you have never seen before, no matter what steamer you’ve used in the past. The amount of steam, and the heat at which it hits your floor or grill or oven or bathroom grout or whatever is stupendous!

When I first looked at the booklet and this big bag of attachments I wondered what in the world I’d use them all for–until I got playing with this. I have to first relay that many steamers that have “scrubbing” attachments don’t hold up when I really put that scrubbing to use because they have plastic bristles that bend under pressure. I really gave these a workout and they stayed firm BUT this one even comes with wire bristle scrubbers as well so you can hit the grill and other super grimy areas and come out clean. And because you have several, you don’t have to mix your bathroom floor scrubbers with your kitchen counter or stove top ones!

This being a pressure streamer has put my other steamers to shame as far as performance. I steam my floor all the time (I have no carpet-travertine, stained concrete, slate, wood) but this cut through some old oil under the stove I didn’t even know was there, and the baseboards looked like we’d just moved in after this macdaddy made a run through.

Filling the tank was confusing. The plastic filler it came with went up to 16 ounces and said “Fill limit!” but the instructions say it actually holds 64. It did not last long on the high setting at 16 ounces so I was glad that I read you can actually fill the plastic container a few times.

In their instruction book I wish they had put an explanation of what each pieced did UNDER The photo (or beside it) of the attachment. Because there are so many, that would have made things easier to figure out, but as it stands you can look for the picture on the other page of what each attachment is meant to be used for.

If you only want a floor steamer, you likely don’t need all the bells and whistles here and Haan has one now that will scrub the floor too–but in all honestly, this one is the same price, so why not be able to stop while you are steaming the floor, slide on a scrubber attachment, and clean something on the baseboard, or stove, or grout, without having to have a canister steamer as well? This thing emits such powerful steam you can even use it to steam your clothes! (away from the clothes–it’s too hot and powerful to get right on it but I did steam the seam out of some new curtains)

I like that you do not have to hold down the button to make it work–it will steam as you go.

I like it that this is the hottest steam I’ve gotten from a steam mop, and at the highest pressure.

I like it that this can reach up and under and get in cabinets, in microwaves, etc.

I loved that this cut through areas I THOUGHT were clean from my other steam mop and showed me who was boss.

This is one powerful pressure steamer! It just has to be seen to be understood. I love all the attachments and I love all it can do but hands down I adored how it performed, inside and outside.

Update: I’d like to add that the more I use this the more I am BLOWN AWAY. I gave away my favorite ol’ steam mop–I just don’t use anything else. I’d rather drag this one upstairs and down than to use another one. What makes the difference is that pressurized steam. You know how you go to the jewelry store and ask if they can clean your diamond rings and they use the heated pressurized steam and you can’t even believe it’s the same diamond because it’s a way different level of clean than your jewelry cleaner at home? Yeah, that. My grout is SO much better because of the tool that concentrates the steam into this “pen like” smaller nib so it comes out super strong and basically power washes your grout by this piece that is about as wide as the grout. That tool works so well that I use it all over the place–at the crevices of my wooden stairs, on something stuck to the floor, baseboard, around…
