Personal Home Shopper. Groceries, errands etc. No real liabilities, no sick people. Just post a Surety Bond, as you will be handling people’s money.Offer to show a criminal background check on request.
Advertise yourself as bonded and insured. It will get you more clients. Make a rate chart and post it, mileage extra as gas prices fluctuate.

A good business to start is one that can produce residual cash flow for you on a monthly basis. You can decide for yourself after reading my blog below.
Hi Gena –
Mary Meyer has a great idea. You can also begin a home or office cleaning service by yourself. You really don’t need much money to begin. I have my own Home And Office Cleaning Business and I began with nothing.
First – you would need a quality vacuum cleaner. Using a better brand of vacuum (like an Oreck) allows you to vacuum carpets and bare floors too. Not all vacuums are efficient for both. You can also begin with a less expensive vacuum cleaner for carpets and buy a small canister vacuum for bare floors.
Second – you will need good cleaning cloths. I prefer Microfiber Cloths which I buy at Sam’s Club. These are thicker and larger than those microfiber cloths at Lowes or Home Depot.
Third – you will need a supply caddy to carry with you.
Fourth – supplies! You don’t need to spend a ton of money on supplies. Generic brands of cleaning products are sometimes as good as the name brand. Be careful. It will be trial and error between brand name cleaning brands and generic brands.
*Window cleaner
*Toilet bowl cleaner
*Toilet bowl brush
*Furniture polish
*Scratch free Comet or Ajax
*Scrubbing bubbles or generic brand
*Microfiber cleaning cloths
Go to a nice neighborhood and write down as many addresses as possible. Go to several if you want to.
Get on your computer and make up an advertisement for your business. You can mail them but be prepared to spend some money for postage OR you can post the advertisements at Apartments, condos, door to door, grocery stores, etc., etc.. If you mail your advertisements you can look for a 1% return with your advertisements. If you send out 100 you can probably expect to get at least one potential customer out of it. If you send out 200 you can probably get at least two potential customers from those. And so on. (The 1% return doesn’t always work that way however.)
You can work for a few people or many.
Good luck! You should have great suggestions with this topic!
Have a nice day!
