  1. There is a new Vacuum Cleaner out and the name starts with a D-in its desription says made for pet hair and the cost is approx $400.00, am sure they will know if you say want a vaccuum cleaner made for households with pets, begins with a D.Also the more you brush at least once a day-preferably in the evening the less hair they will have to shed. Also check the Cat Foods available at PetFood Stores like Petsmart or Petco(Not Grocery Stores) for they now in certain ones have ingrdients that cuts down on shedding.Or you can add-also gotten at Petfood stores- Brewers Yeast with Garlic to their Food, the Brewers Yeast(in the Vitamin B family) makes their fur thick and glossy and that will also diminish shedding. I add a bit(get the loose powder and if you gt the pills -break them up and mix into food)to the food of my cat in the morning and she loves the taste and her fur is thick and very glossy.Used to have bits of fur here and there all the time but after I began the Brewers Yeast hardly any and then only once in a while, not every day as before. If you get a no bag vacuum(I recommend) then important you empty the dust/dirt container after each use for if over fill the dirt/cat fur has no place to go excpt into the vacuum cleaner and the same with bags-once full need to be changed. The brushing rally helps if you have children-assign it as a chore.

  2. I have a Hoover windtunnel and it works well ( I have 3 dogs and a cat). I hear the Dyson special pet vacuum is good, although pricey. I’ve found that for pet hair what really makes the difference is the consistency of the bristles in the roller brush. If the bristles are too soft, they don”t tend to pick up the hair as well. Mine has very stiff bristles which helps to sweep up most of the hair bfore it sucks it in.

  3. If you want cats, the hair comes with them. The only way to get rid of the hair is get rid of the cats.

  4. Dyson. Picks up everything! LIterally. You might have to do a little reserach on where to buy it since i got mine as a present

  5. I have two cats, and a large Saint Bernard (lots of hair!), and we have a central vaccum, I don’t know what we would do without it! It does cost a bit, however it has about ten-times the suction of any regular vaccum, and doesn’t clog like a regular vaccum. If you have the extra cash, I’d go for it! We have had it for three years now, and there hasn’t been a problem, only have to empty it about once or twice a year. I love it!
