  1. The best vacuum I’ve ever owned was a Rainbow but that’s not going to be cheaper. I used it for years and years and never had to buy another bag plus you could run it and pull all the stuff floating in the air right into the water and could see the difference in your air quality. You could also add fragrance to all that too. It came with a sprayer for misting plants and I used it to spray water seal on my fence each year. It so paid for itself. I finally had to retire mine because I couldn’t find anyone to replace the seals and I tore out my carpeting for tile. That’s about 30 years of work and still working. I saw Kathy Lee on one morning and she was going on about the vacuum she had just bought and the good job it did . . .yep a rainbow. Sometimes you just have to pay for quality. It really gets the dirt out of your carpet.

  2. Try Dyson, we have a Dyson and it’s pretty good at picking up dirt and dust from carpets and floors.
It beats getting a Eureka you’ll have to replace in one year (used to have quite a few Eureka vacuums).
Our Dyson has never clogged as they claim it never will and we’ve had it for nearly two years.
    Good luck!
