My cat got outside and got fleas – ever so much fun! So I ordered Frontline plus and now that I have it – I am not sure how to go about it. Applying the medication will be simple. I am just wondering if I can apply the medication and THEN go about vacuuming and spraying everything. We have 3 floors in our house – 8 rooms with carpeting plus the stairs and hallways. I would have to move beds and all kinds of stuff. And wash all the bedding – there is no way I can possibly get it all done at once but, I want the nasty things GONE! From what I understand – the frontline protects the cat so do you think it is okay to treat him and then take care of the house or would I be defeating the purpose. Please anyone who has been through this! Thanks so much!
hi treat the cat with the fronline as directed, then for the house well u have a big house,i would use the flea bombs well there cans that fill the room with insecticide, i use them not because i have a house as big as your im just lazy, i hoover first to wake the little buggers up let off a fogger shut each door as i go, then i move downstairs and hoover and spray i would do one floor at a time, it doesn’t matter if it takes a few days u will get them all eventually,i usually wait until i have a nice day then i can make sure my cats are outside and when im done i sit in the garden for a while while the stuff works as your cat is an indoor cat it would be best to keep her downstairs while u do upstairs then keep her upstairs the next day when u do downstairs hope this makes sense and helps.
medicine first… so u can vacuum up all the dead fleas
Treat the cat first.. Spray carpet then vacuum..

you can treat the cat first-the frontline protects them for awhile–any of those fleas you kick up, if they go sit on your cat they will die promptly.
sorry about your forced cleaning binge… 🙁
