How to clean an extremely messy room?

If you think you have a messy room, you haven’t seen mine, My entire closet if buried. So id a corner of my room, most of the floor, and all the table tops. I can’t clean it. It is too big of a job. I never could clean it. EVER. And so its still messy from when I was little, and I just can’t clean it! My mom has gotten 2 different people to clean it, 2 different times, but over 2 days and still only half cleaned. I can never get my room clean. I don’t know how I can without breaking down and crying. Do you know what its like to be in a completely messy room? Having to shove selves back because they are tipping over from whats inside the closet? I haven’t vacuumed it in like a year. Its not covered in junk, but I just have no room for my stuff. I don’t know how to clean it and I need to but its even harder since its summer and too hot to move around and all I want to do is go on my laptop in my bed but I have to lean over and my neck gets hurt and I just can’t take it! I don’t know how to fix something that has been like this since I was 4!
I don’t think you understand. I would ACTUALLY need a shovel to put my mess back in my closet because I can’t GET to my closet

  1. I do not mean to be rude or unkind, BUT I believe that you need to understand, that nobody can "help"
you with your question , because cleaning your room is not the answer.
Breaking down and crying is just the tip of the iceberg, but a very good place to start.

You write that you have been like that since you were 4 years old. Someone in your family MUST have the same problem. But there is a solution.

You have all the signs of a hoarder (excuse my spelling) and you are not alone in this. Please call the new reality-show" " Barried (excuse my spelling) ALIVE" you can watch the eposides with your family or alone.

This might be the beginning of a brand-new life for you, just do not give up, or cover-up anymore

  2. sounds overwhelming. I’ve seen this on TV and have done it in my own daughter’s room: First, take everything in there out. leave your furniture, but remove every single thing. Take it outside if you can. Then start making piles. throw away. Donate. box up for winter. Hang up in closet. Put in drawers. Store in another room (like books). While your room is empty, clean it from top to bottom. Wash the walls and windows; vacuum everything; wash the baseboards; shampoo the carpet if you have one. (going a long time without dusting or vacuuming is really unhealthy for you.)

then, bit by bit, restore your living space. hang up shirts and pants and things. Put fold-up clothes in drawers. don’t return one single thing you don’t need every day. Not one. Laptop is OK. Box of tissues maybe. all the magazines and crap, OUT.

lastly, every single day, tidy up. Keep your clothes put away. Make your bed. Put shoes wherever they go. You’ll be amazed how simple it is to keep it neat once you get it that way.

  3. Well if you post this question about how to clean your room, then you have to start somewhere.
The best is,get a few big empty plastic bags and start throwing things in.When they’re full take them outside to throw the stuff in the bin,or give them to charity.
Once you get control of this and your closet is empty, start sorting and folding things to put back into your closet.Don’t forget to have a separate bag for rubbish and to use the vacuum cleaner as you go along, also a bucket with soapy water to wash things down.
You should be able to do it.Just get up and start, that’s the only way to achieve this.
    Good luck.
