  1. I have a similar(almost identical looking) model except it doesn’t have a dirt sensor function. I’ve had mine since 1995 and still use it almost daily. This is the best vacuum! The only thing I would add is a self winding cord.

  2. I purchased this classic red powerteam in 1995, paid $700+ for this sturdy, reliable workhorse still in service and used every other day (indoor pets).
    The best features:
‘volume’ (suction)adjust on the power nozzle.
    Long reach wand and hose.
    What I would add/change:
    autowind cord
hose/wand easy breakdown and storage (currently bulky/unwieldy when it comes to storing)
more metal/less plastic materials in attachments
thicker longer horsehair for brushes and tools
    quieter operation

  3. Oh boy I have no idea what the model number is on that power that goes that exact model metal canister and what model number has too? I want to know if I had to get an up-to-date version of the same looking model? Did Royal offer those dirt sensor power head brush nozzles with those royal power tanks that had to be ordered separately? I DO NOT GET THAT! I want to know the model number of the powerhead and the model number of the whole entire rest of the vacuum that it coordinated with so I know!

  4. I wish Royal would have designed their own power head rather than using one of the Cen-Tec manufactured ones that are found on Panasonics, Kenmores, Nutones and Haydens. If Cen-Tec would redesign their powerheads so that there is a suction duct leading to the other side of the brush roll, where the edge cleaner is, I’d be happy. I returned a Kenmore Progressive with that style nozzle I couldn’t stand how crappy it left that whole 1.5″ area with just junk getting thrown up into the air.

  5. The is a Royal Classic Power Team canister style vacuum cleaner. Royal Floor care also produces the Dirt Devil line but their Royal line has been around much longer and was known for producing mostly metal, heavy duty and very durable machines. Not a Hoover manufactured machine.
This machine has been off of the market for probably about 3 years now, took paper style disposable bags. I never purchased or owned one of these but I think the retail was around $800??
