What do you think is the very best vacuum cleaner and why?

Of all the vacuums that I have ever use, including Kirby, Filter Queen, Rainbow, and many more, my favorite by far is the Dyson. I really like the new ball, but I wish the power cord was longer. Try the DC-17, you like it too.

I like the Roomba because it goes around by itself and cleans the floor. It’s a robot vacuum that is rechargeable. But, I wouldn’t recommend it for big messes or for rugs or carpets. I have tile floors and it’s fine for that. It’s really not that powerful, so if you really need a high powered vac, it’s not the one, but I like how it gets my dogs all riled up as it goes around and follows them.

The Oreck is the best. We have had them all Phantom, Sears, Rainbow, Kirby, Hoover and Atlas. It’s beater bar does most of the work making it a deep cleaner. We have had three of them. One at the Lake of the Ozarks, one we gave to our daughter and a new red one. Bags are pricey but they clean the air.
