Fancy-Nancy need help to clarify doubt about: : What’s the best vacuum cleaner out there that’s really quiet???
I have a dirt devil right now and they are so noisy. Or at least the one I have. What brand do you have and what are the pros and cons. Best answer will be chosen. Thanks!!!

Dyson brand vacuums are very very good, and pretty quiet compared to ‘regular’ vacs. They aren’t cheap, however.

The Miele vacuums are among the quietest you can get, but can be a little pricey.
sanitaire is a great quiet one.its quality also,not your cheap vacuum though.

I’ve been in the vac repair business for over 30 years, and I can tell you from experience that the vacuums that I see in for repair the least are the Panasonics, Riccars and Simplicities, all made by the same company. They make uprights and cannisters that are so quiet you can barely hear them running, yet make extraordinary vacuum. They are all bagged vacuums, and as Consumer reports confirms, bagged vacuums are actually much better than the bagless models. They are, however, in the high end of the retail scale for vac’s. Your Dirt Devil is on the low end, both in quality and cost.
